COVA partners with employers to ensure successful placements. Upon employment, both employers and candidates have continued access to COVA’s career developers and vocational specialists to address any emerging issues and ensure success.
In addition to competitive job placements, COVA’s programs have an ongoing need for partners for:
• Volunteer placements — Youth and adult participants are available for volunteer placements as part of their career exploration services. The goal is for the participant to experience the aspects of employment in various industries to identify the types of employment that may be a good match for a long-term career goal.
• Work sites for vocational assessments — COVA provides on-site supervision to assess a participant’s ability to perform specific job tasks and responsibilities. The employer provides just the opportunity — the paid work experience, averaging three to four weeks, is provided at no expense to the employer.
