History and Mission
Mission: COVA’s mission is to assist and support the community in overcoming mental, emotional and other challenges to a productive life, focusing on employment, economic stability and life skills.

History: COVA started in 1982 as a janitorial service program employing people with severe mental health disabilities – a unique, innovative program unlike any others available at the time. Today, COVA is a national leader advocating for ever-improving employment opportunities for people with mental illness and other disabilities.

Through a dynamic blend of career development and education services, COVA is on the leading edge of obtaining not just jobs, but careers for the people we serve, with inventive technology training opportunities that help individuals keep pace with the needs of the modern workplace.
